The Team

Jonathan Picot MCSP, AACP, HPC reg.

Physiotherapist

Johnny qualified from the University of Gloucestershire in 2000 having studied Sports Science and Business but instead of pursuing a career along these lines decided to further his studies, choosing Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford, qualifying in 2003. Since then he has worked at Bradford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Private Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinics, the Nuffield Hospital in Huddersfield, and more recently in his own clinic. Johnny has a wealth of experience working in both codes of rugby - and has worked at a professional level for clubs such as Gateshead Thunder RLFC, Halifax RLFC, and Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union. Johnny is also currently employed by a Premiership football club as an Academy Physiotherapist and is continuing his studies to post-graduate level working towards a masters and is fully qualified in acupuncture. jonny@physionetwork.com

Chris Argles MCSP, AACP HPC reg.

Physiotherapist

Chris qualified in Leeds and has since worked in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds Primary Care Trust and managed three sports injury and private physiotherapy gym-based clinics in the North of England prior to joining the Yorkshire Physiotherapy Network. Chris has experience working with elite athletes from a variety of sports and spent 3 seasons working with the Academy teams at Leeds United Football Club. Chris also continues his post graduate studies and is close to completing his Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and is fully qualified in acupuncture. chris@physionetwork.com

Simon Wray MCSP, AACP HPC reg.

Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist Simon qualified at Huddersfield University and has worked as a Physiotherapist in the Bradford NHS Foundation Trust. He then progressed as a Senior Physiotherapist within Dewsbury’s Mid Yorkshire Trust musculoskeletal department for several years specialising in shoulder problems. For nine years, Simon earned his living as a professional Rugby League player, playing for Keighley Cougars, Bramley, Sheffield Eagles and York City Knights. Simon has earned a BSc hons in Physiotherapy, fully qualified in acupuncture (AACP registered) and is a qualified fitness instructor. He is educated to Masters level in spinal disorders and is Mckenzie accredited. Simon has a special interest in sports injuries. This interest has led him to work as the lead physiotherapist for Halifax RLFC and Keighley Cougars and for the past three years to current as the head Physiotherapist with Super League's Wakefield Trinity Wildcats simon@physionetwork.com

Reena Flora MCSP, AACP, HPC reg.

Physiotherapist

Reena qualified in 2005 having studied a BSc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Bradford and has since worked at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Reena is highly skilled in manual therapy, fully qualified in acupuncture and is a qualified pilates instructor. Reena also works with Yorkshire based rugby teams, ensuring a high standard of treatment is recieved by players so they return to full fitness in the safest possible time scale. Tom Baker MCSP, HPC reg.

Physiotherapist

Previously Tom played professional cricket for Yorkshire and Northamptonshire before retraining as a physiotherapist at Bradford University. With BSc Hons in Physiotherapy Tom is currently working for Leeds United, Super League and Morley RFU. Tom has a special interest in sports injuries and musculoskeletal. tosh@physionetwork.com

Nigel Grassby MFHT

Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist.

Nigel qualified in 2008 having studied for a ITEC diploma at The Leeds Central College. Nigel was rewarded student of the year at the end of his studies and went on to practice Sports Massage throughout the Yorkshire Physiotherapy Network, also practicing on a mobile basis, ensuring that treatments are available for all. Nigel has built up a good professional reputation having practiced on a wide variety of sports clients, as well as clients from everyday life, ensuring a high standard of treatment and maintenance of fitness and wellbeing.
